This was a very interesting class text as it helped me to learn many things that will be taken into the classroom and may help to set the path for a brighter future for the students I will educate/teach.
First of all, the classrooms of today are well diversed and will present many problems for the current teacher and the new educators. With new Web 2.0 technologies, it is possible to imagine that a wide variety of tools might be usefore to the student who requires multiple input strategies or alternative methods for expressing what has been learned (164). Research show that students with learning disabilities also benefit from explicit instruction of learning stratgies (163). This is a great example why integrating techonolgy into the classroom and education will help the students to venture many places - without leaving the classroom.
Next, designing and planning engaging lessons with technology will help the teacher to present instruction in many ways. If you use software to create and present slides for presentions, the Web 2.0 application Zoho Show (www.zohoshow) serves the purpose online. You can access, import, and edit presentations from anywhere (65).
Therefore, this concept will allow the teacher to present concepts effectively with integrating technology effectively into education and in the classroom.
Next, assessing students for learning with technology will allow the teacher many avenues in helping the student with assessments. For example, performance assessments call upon the examinee to demonstrate specific skills and competencies, that is, to apply the skills and knowledge they have mastered (168).
Managing classroom and technology use effectively must be closely monitored by Support Staff, Managment, and Operators-Educational leaders to ensure integration of technology to support productive systems for learning and administration (257). This process is very important because there is lots of bullying, harrassment, and many other harmful things that can be done by the user, if not properly monitored.
