These warm-up stretches will help the student to experience the importance for proper stretching, prior to beginning play. Most students or athletics think there is nothing wrong with going straight to the competition without proper warm-up stretching. This is a ‘manor’ no-no!

Self-Evaluation: This this my first lesson plan and the material listed will help the students to know the importance
of proper warn-up exercise and correctly stretching, prior to participating in an organized sporting event or gym activity.This lesion plan will be beneficial to the sub-teacher, in my absent, as the material will help to give the students
class instruction.

proper stretching exercises, or give verbal commands to other student will perform the exercises requested.
Student NETS addressed: Each student will have the ability to demonstrate various warm-up exercises and
know the importance for these stretches, prior to beginning an organized sporting event or gym activity.
Lesson Strengths: This lesson will have updated lesson references and materials for the students to refer to for
help. Each student will have a greater thought for the importance for proper stretching, prior to Participating in
an organize sport or gym activity.
Lesson Weaknesses: The only weakness this block of instruction may have is if the students will not have access
to computers or inter-net, after school hours. The student may fall behind and may not be able to catch-up without
doing a lot of make-up assignments.
Possible Solutions or Action Plan for Improvement: The Sunshine State Standards were great in providing
excellent information to guide me through this process. I will attend workshops to maintain a higher knowledge for
my subject area for instructing my students. This knowledge will help me to reach all children daily.
