Barriers to Integrating Technology into the classroon
There are many barriers for intergrating technology into classrooms and education. The three that stood out were: Lack of Resources; Insuffient Access to sites, and Inadequate Technical Support.
The lack of resources is a barrier is one barrier for students. This is a major concern because, as schools are facing budget cuts and technology books, computers, blackboards, WiFi, and other technical equipment are concerns that are important tools for integration into classrooms or for implementing information into education. These components should be considered and not eliminated.
The lack of insuffient access to websites is a barrier for integrating technology into education/classrooms. Many students may not have suffeint access to the world-wide-web/internet, at home and will be at a dis-advantage, for outside class assignments. Should this become an issue, several cities, counties, and towns have libraries and learning centers for the students to gain access to the world-wide-web.
The lack of inadequate Technical Support is another barrier for integreting technology into classrooms/education. This is one of the major barriers that I think will present problems. Technical issues are hard to resolve and without the proper help, the person seeking integration will often give up. Technology is everywhere and growing at a high rate, therefore, if proper technical support is available the user will have are greater desire for understanding the need for integreting technology into classrooms and education.
